Sequence of Job Steps
List basic sequence of steps from start to finish
1.1 Review this procedure.
1.2 Perform briefing to all LOTO Affected Persons.
1.3 Notify Operator-In-Charge (OIC) of intent to apply 12kV HVDC Isolation LOTO.
2. Equipment Shutdown:
2.1 Verify voltage is present on the Modulator input voltage meter (F328).
2.2 Have the control room operator perform a normal shutdown of the 12kV AC Breaker (A2318).
2.3 Verify the corresponding power-on lights have gone to the off state (A2318).
2.4 Verify the Modulator input voltage meter has gone to zero (F328).
2.5 Remove Admin lock and open GE50 cabinet west door (PAD).
2.6 Open Ross relay coil power circuit breaker GE50-CB1 (120VAC).
2.7 Close GE50 cabinet west door, replace Admin lock.
2.8 Verify GE21 Ross relay contact is in the OFF position (GE21 south window).
GE21-HV Switch: Switch to OFF position, apply LOTO device, place LOTO Key#1 into Group LOTO Box.
Visually verify 2 Modulator grounding relays (north wall) are in the down (grounded) position.

Perform Job Briefing
PIC Conducts the Job Briefing. Cover all the contents of the Job Safety Plan.
A Job Briefing at a minimum must include:
Detailed Scope of Work
Shock and arc flash hazards for each task
Controls to mitigate the hazards (procedures, precautions, energy source controls, PPE requirements)
Work area controls (barricades, signs, attendants)
